Drive the future of automotive diagnostics. In this challenging role, you take ownership of developing and testing critical diagnostic software for high-tech heavy-duty vehicles. You use your expertise in OTX and ODX to realize the ZF Bootloader Update functionality, ensuring vehicles remain operational worldwide. Ready to make an impact in the automotive industry?
As a Diagnostic Software Engineer, you join the Diagnostics department of a leading international automotive manufacturer. This department is the driving force behind the development and delivery of advanced diagnostic software (DAVIE) used globally in after-sales.
Your primary focus is the development and testing of diagnostic content specifically for the ZF Bootloader Update functionality. You act as the bridge between product development and practical application. You analyze technical documentation and translate requirements into functional diagnostic solutions within Grade-X.
You do not stop at coding; you validate your work directly on the bench and on the truck. This ensures that your software meets the highest security and quality standards.
Your responsibilities include:
- Analysis: You analyze diagnostic documents from Product Development to define clear specifications for the ZF bootloader.
- Development: You develop high-quality diagnostic content using Grade-X, specifically focusing on OTX and ODX standards.
- Implementation: You implement the Bootloader Update flow, including integration with backend certificate authorities and security authentication requirements.
- Validation: You execute rigorous testing on both simulated ECUs (bench) and actual vehicles to ensure error-free operation.
- Reporting: You monitor progress and report the development status to management on a regular basis.
